Messy Church

You are all invited to the next Messy Church:

Messy Remembrance 2018

Messy Church took place on Saturday 3rd November and the theme was Messy Remembrance and although this is a serious topic it did not mean that the usual fun and playfulness of Messy Church disappeared.  Some of the deepest things we learn happen when we are laughing and creating together.  Children need help to come to terms with big questions such as life and death, war and peace and this worship was designed to help the children do just that, using Bible verses and worship and plenty of craft activities.  We made poppy crosses, peace cranes using origami techniques, poppy biscuits, flower arrangements, as well as a large poppy display that flowed down from the pulpit and added messages to a Peace Wall and much, much more!

Over 60 people, children with their families, joined us for this amazing afternoon and I think both young and older alike enjoyed sharing together.

And I must say a special “Thank you!” to the team of volunteers who lead this event – without their support this would not be possible.
